Can't hear, AGAIN.

Kenneth had his 5 yr. check up earlier this month. Everything went well, but of course he failed his hearing test. So we made a follow up appointment for two weeks later, which he failed again. Now we are being referred to an ENT, yet again to get his hearing re-checked for the 3rd time. This will actually be the 6th time in a year since we went through the SAME EXACT thing last year at his four year check up!

This is soo aggravating. Last year was understandable because I wasn't shore if he was hearing ALL the way. We went had the test done and now we know that he can hear just fine. Which I told the doctor we went through the same deal last year. It just aggravates me that now we have to go downtown Chattanooga for a test he will pass.

Another thing is there machine. Now I'm all fine with "fixing it yourself" things, don't get me wrong. But the machine had tape around the cord. TAPE! Not even electrical tape, but plain ol' scotch tape. Furthermore, the cord that was taped the girl had to keep pushing it into the hole of the machine. CLEARLY they need a new one. This isn't some backwoods doctors office. It's literally one of the biggest, if not the biggest, in our town and they a machine that a tape on it, while the cord is being hand held into the machine.

I'm just beyond frustrated about this. I'm defiantly considering changing his doctor. It just sucks because he has been going there since he was born and we know mostly everyone.

This also puts a hold up on registering him for school. Because I need the form saying he can hear, and they won't give it to me because he failed.
UGH!
If it's not one thing, it's another.

Five Years Ago Today...

Five Years ago this picture was taken. Five years ago I gave birth to a little boy who would change my life forever. Kenneth Thomas was born on June 29th, 2007 at 3:03 a.m. He weighed 7lbs 11oz, 19 1/2in. long. He had jet black hair and green eyes. Boy, has he changed. All that black hair fell out and came back platinum blonde. Those sweet green eyes, turned into the prettiest blue ones you ever saw. He turned into a livley little toddler. A precoius Pre-Schooler. And now, finally a five year old boy.

My baby is no longer a baby.

I can't believe it has been five years since that picture was taken. How could time go by so slowly, yet so quickly?

Here he is getting his Third birthday pictures. I thought he was big then. He was such a little ham! Though, Three was a bit more than expected. He had a speech delay, that had just been confirmed. He was going to start Special Education Pre-School the next year to help correct it. It was a nerve wrenching time, then not knowing what was going to happen with his speech, not knowing if he was hearing everything, if it was something that I had done.. or hadn't.

He made it through just fine. You can barley even tell he had a delay. He still is gonna recieve speech therapy in school. But much improvments have been made since that picture was taken. :]

And now we're five. I could almost cry typing this. He is five. He has grown SO much in five short years. He has this crazy vibrant personality. I could NOT imagine where I would be right now without him.

He is my life <3. He is my Everything <3. He Is FIVE.

Happy Birthday to You my sweet Kenneth. I hope you have an AWESOME AMAZINGLY AMAZING DAY! & I Hope your birthday party is everything you wanted!
I Love you, K-Man. :]

Journey.

A 2012 Dodge Journey to be exact. Yes, I bought a new car. BUT this is my Forever car. It stays unitl i die or it does. It is my dream car! ts a crossover SUV. It gets the same gas mileage as my car did and it seats up to seven. I have the two seats in the back folded down for mor cargo space. I find it crazy to buy a SUV without third row seat! Why else would you need a SUV? lol.
Anyways, It's awesome. It rides so smooth. WAY better than my KIA ever did. The seats are so comfy! I'm just so glad I got it!
I consider it an awfully big birthday present for myself :] The payments aren't much more then they were with my KIA and I get so much more with this! I should've took pictures of the inside, But I completely forgot. I might add some in. It also has storage under the floor mats. The second row is a little tight for his carseat, so I'm going to get him a new one. Just one that is a little more compack.
But thats about it for now! :]

One year Later

Hello Strangers.
So to tell the truth I was kidnapped lazy. I completely forgot about writing on here, and that's basically it. I don't know why either, I thought I really enjoyed doing it in my spare time. Oh well, I'm back now and there is SO much to talk about. Where do I even start?

For one. My four year old is turning FIVE. He is so smart and going to be going to kindergarten this year. It is amazingly unbelievable. I thought these days would never come. I thought he would be my baby forever (he will be!) and he would never grow up. But he has been this whole time no matter how badly I don't want to realize it. He is going to "big kid" school, as he calls it. He can ride the big kid bus, which I am going to put off as long as I can! It just breaks my heart while it explodes with joy. It really is the most bittersweet feeling I have ever felt. To know that you have raised that little baby, who couldn't even hold there head up when you met, to being a rumblin' tumblin' Five year old. Craziness. This is also the first year I have not had his party planned by this time yet. All I have is a date, June 30th and a theme, Cars 2. I really need to get the ball rolling considering I only have 29 days left & 28 days until he is FIVE. I'm having a hard time deciding what to get him for a present too. I usually already have it bought by now. He is getting a bike for sure. But I also want to get him a learning pad as well. I'm stuck between the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer and the VTech InnoTab. Anyone have a yay or nay experience with either? They seem to be neck and neck with reviews I have read.

I also decided what I want to go to college for! Who would have thought?! I want to get a bachelors degree in political science. I already applied to the college I want to go to and got applied for my finical aid. My application is still pending, I have to turn in a copy of my W2 & tax transcript. I'm actually mailing those today! I was approved for Pell, but still don't know about Hope, but hopefully I get it too! I plan on going full-time and taking classes during the summer so that I can be done in three years instead of four. But we will see how those plans go. I'm really excited to be going though, so fingers crossed everything goes as planned!

Other than that, everything has stayed the same! I was also looking for a new job a year ago, still am. lol. I haven't found anything with day shift and that pays more than I make. I feel there is really no point in quitting my current job if I may be leaving for something that is worse. Hopefully something turns up soon though. I seem to be having more good than bad luck lately, so that's defiantly a positive!

Y'all will hear from me soon, I swear!

We wish you a Merry Christmas... & its only September.

Christmas is my favorite holiday (besides my birthday, its a national holiday, in Canada:]), I love the food, shopping, the smells , the decorations, the EVERYTHING.

So of course I have started my shopping. I've only gotten a few things, Wal-Mart is bringing layaway back for a few months, so that's when I'll get his toys. Right now, He has a Paper James guitar.

& Some hot wheels for his stocking. Then the boring stuff, ya know, like the stuff he needs.
Socks, Underwear, Undershirts, & 1 Set of PJ's. I hope to have him pretty much done by the end of October maybe the beginning of November.

But I am so excited to decorate and for our "Merry Christmas" party. We had one last year so now its going to be something like a tradition i suppose :] We have Gumbo, Potato salad, Crunchy Bread and a little appietizer of some sorts.

I just can't wait :]

Surving Pre-k

Well, hello stranger :]
I know, it’s been a while & I've really just been busy with working.
But on to what the title says, Surviving Pre-k.
It's been almost a month since he started and he LOVES it. He loves his teachers,
He loves his friends, he loves everything. Which doesn't surprise me; I loved school when I was kid, mainly because I was an only child and that's when I got the most interaction With other children my age.
Anyways, I'm getting off track. He goes to a pre-k at a Daycare. Its 100% by the lottery (as I think most are) & there are REAL teachers who actually went to college to become teachers which is why I was comfortable with it. It is the same daycare he was going to before Pre-K started. But now, I’m wishing I had done a little more research into a Pre-K instead of picking what was most convenient.
Pre-k doesn’t start until 8:30; the child cannot be dropped off before 8:15. This is fine, except that if you get there at 8:15 you’ll be sitting in the road. Not like a back road, but Ringgold road. This is not fun at all.
This morning in the Pre-K car riders line they let us know that we cannot pull in the
Parking lot until 8:15, this is going to be MADNESS, that I am not excited for (who would be?!). I usually get there around 8:00ish. We were told we could either park, in the 5 spaces they have available OR the restaurant across the street. Now it was my understanding that there were 60 kids in this particular Pre-K program. So tomorrow morning should be a very fun and interesting in the least.
This is just so aggravating that they think this new way will be "better". The director (I think that’s her title) has been doing this for 18 years, so why in the world are you changing it? Because I’m sure we are not the first group of parents to have sit in the road. Ugh, it just aggravates me even more while typing this.
I guess I’ll come back tomorrow and write down how the madness goes in the morning ;]

The Chattanooga Zoo.

We went to the Chattanooga Zoo with some friends. It was Kenneth's first time going (mine too, if I had been, it was so long ago I couldn't remember.) He LOVED it. Especially the monkeys and the snakes. For $8.00 it was pretty fun thing to do, going to see the animals. Even if most of were asleep. The Jaguar was the most fun! It got up walked around in circles and came to the window several times. It was exciting and terrifying at the exact same time! After we had walked around the entire Zoo, the boys went and rode on the carousel. Which I just knew Kenneth would be scared of, but surprisingly he wasn't. They had a blast and I am so glad they did! This was one of the last things to do before summer is over and school starts. So it was fun just to enjoy something, just to enjoy it.

Here are some pictures!

My sweetums' and I.

I always thought that Owls were nocturnal, evidently not, well at least not this one :]

I was also freaking out a little bit about the Peacocks and Turkeys roaming free, I just knew we were going to be attacked by a Killer Turkey.
These Gophers are sooo cute and quick!

AFLAC. Yes, I defiantly yelled Aflac when I saw these ducks. lol

They had some HUGE Fish in this pond.

Ya know, Just Monkeyin' around.
